Plant Some Shit

Excellent talk.

"Growing your own food is like printing your own money" – Yeah, man.

Food gardening initiatives bring people together and, in my experience, constitute one of the best remedies to social alienation, not to mention malnourishment.

It's all good.

Container gardening, too, can be as satisfying as it is productive. See Bountiful Container. Wonderful, inspiring book.

Windowsills, courtyards, front and back yards, roofs, borders, public lands, are there to be covered with edible plants.

Small scale gardening takes little effort.

Hi Abbasi,
I had posted a comment already but somehow it did not show up. Anyway, just wanted to say how much I loved this TED talk. This is the kind of revolution that the Third World needs. This is the proactive approach needed in Pakistan especially! Karachi would be a different place...if following the Literary Festival, everyone decides to donate a day for community service like this. Anyway, whether that happens or not, what Ron Finley is doing is sublime. I have become his big fan already.
Love, Aps.
