Monday Poem

Water Snapping Off Your Skin

That water snapping off your skin
in a shower

its warmth is
the same energy
s
toked in the sun

Its stoker is coy and cruel behind
the mask of creation

behind a bright sunrise
a fierce fire in his fist

Is the one

doing and undoing
damning or undamning
burning and unburning

This fire was
never begun

Is the one
doing and undoing
damning or undamning
burning and unburning

The same hell the obsessive-compulsive endures.

Formidable, Jim.

Thanks.
