Korean Drummer Steals The Show - My Way

Why does that remind me of the keynote speech by Gov. Chris Christie at the Republican Convention?

How disrespectful. This would have entertainment value as a video with no audio. You would get the point that this guy likes to mug to a crowd. Fine. Listening to the audio without the video, you would conclude that he is one of the worst drummers ever, not good at anything a drummer needs to do. The drums for him are just a prop, not an instrument, singer and audience be damned.

I wonder if he got to see this video and how he felt about it. Yikes.

Are you kidding me? That dude was f...kin' awesome, man!

Weirdly uplifting. I knew a cop in San Francisco who directed traffic at a busy intersection that way. All day, five days a week. Everyone adored him because he had found the secret to making a dull job kind of fabulous -- by holding nothing back, by doing it as if it mattered consummately how he did it, and by assuring public safety at his corner.

I love the way the drummer's behaviour exemplifies the singer's lyrics.

I thought the guy was awesome - charismatic and passionate like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXOnbygCLl0&feature=youtube_gdata_player

or Luciano Pavarotti here

Thanks for the compliments. This was my first time picking up drumsticks. ^^

He may be an elderly version of ... himself!

As bombastic scene stealing as the dreadful drumming is, I see more accomplished drummers pounding empty upturned paint cans and milk crates frequently at subway stops in NYC, the single camera operator panning to and holding on the pot-banger was a dereliction of duty. I hope the singer was not intending to post the video on YouTube looking for a gig!

Ha! His 'way' makes everyone else's look tepid and lifeless. Thanks, AR.

"He may be an elderly version of ... himself!"

Oh my god, I think you are right. It's him!
