A viewer with no military experience may see it differently, but I found this to be a reasonable and articulate take on an argument usually confined — on both sides — to emotional baggage, bogus stats, and BS.

This mantra of The Universal Smedley is found in the ancient writings as well as in the modern writings.

It is the oldest profession that doesn't work.

What a contrast to the messaging in the build-up to the Iraq war. It felt like a hard sell by a group of bullies. I now have a knee jerk reaction against characters that glorify fighting, especially when dressed in metal-heavy, patch-covered suits or even more so by someone with a perfect haircut who talks tough while having avoided military service in his younger days. I feel dirty recalling characters from those recent days.

However, the concept of just war is valid in my eyes and is potentially the only way to avoid genocide. This man conveys this. Bravo!

This isn't a hoax, is it?
