Morgan Meis Wins $30,000 Warhol Foundation Award

It is without any sense of surprise, but with the greatest of pleasure that I inform you that our very own Morgan Meis has been awarded an extremely well-deserved $30,000 by the Warhol Foundation in recognition of the excellence of his writing on art.

You can see all of Morgan's writing for 3QD, on art and on other things, here.

You can see Morgan's writing for The Smart Set here, and here.

Morgan has also written for Harper's, The Believer, and the Virginia Quarterly Review.

Congratulations, Morgan!

Such great affirmation. Congratulations.

Wow, not sure how the photo relates! Those gray pants do not do him justice! Anyway, Morgan's Flux Factory escapades have led me slowly but surely into the realm of amateurish art collecting. Kudos and good luck! BTW Can I borrow $20,000 for a fabulous new venture I am into?
All the best, margy

Dearest Morgan,
My heart is flying as I write this note of congratulations to you and Stefany. BRAVO!! What a fantastic acknowledgment of your extraordinary talents and superb writing skills. We are proud to be your friends! May you develop into an ever sharper writer as a result of this timely award and may your writings continue to provoke us into thinking and re-assessing what we see.

And now my favorite demand; Treat please!! (On me of course.)
Lots of love and best wishes for greater successes in the future!! Aps.

Top notch Mr. Meis! Well deserved. Enjoy the fruits of your work. Too bad it isn't 30,000 euros.

Fabulous, Morgan -- they couldn't have put that prize money in a better place. I am delighted to think of all the writing hours this buys you, and greatly look forward to being on the reading end of what you do with them. Felicitations!
