The musical pairing of Manuel de Falla's lullaby "Nana" with this painting is inspired and so, so sad. The lyrics are:
Duérmete, niño, duerme,
Duerme, mi alma,
Duérmete, lucerito
De la mañana.
Naninta, nana,
Naninta, nana.
Duérmete, lucerito
De la mañana.

de Falla's lyrics in translation:
Go to sleep, Child, sleep,
Sleep, my soul,
Go to sleep, little star
Of the morning.
Lulla-lullaby,
Lulla-lullaby,
Sleep, little star
of the morning.
When you consider the "star of the morning" in the picture (a bomb, top and center), this lullaby is devestating. Nice work in putting this music with this painting.

I came here hoping to find out if this is an actual 3D sculpture of wood, or only a virtual one...anyone? Thanks.

it's astounding either way. As a teen working for my Uncle in New York I saw the original at MOMA and I remember standing in front of it just DUMBSTRUCK at it's power...

The most important work of the 20th century, in my humble opinion.
Thanks for the link----

It's not a physical sculpture, wagonjak. It's virtual
