Thank you Paul Newman for setting a high example, in all that you did, for others to aspire to: Actor, humanitarian, businessman and race car driver and father and husband. Your actions in your life help divert attention from the cesspool which is most of Hollywood and which you sought to distance yourself from. Three of your films that were my favorites were "Absence of Malice", "The Hustler" and "The Sting", not necessarily in that order. I take great pride in the fact that I am from that same great city of Cleveland, Ohio too. My deepest sympathies to your great actress wife and family.
Everyone should note that Paul Newman's tragic death is just another failure, of the roughly half million others this year, of the cancer generals in Washington and the war on cancer. Paul Newman was a true American Hero to all.

My favorite films were Cool Hand Luke and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Brando and Newman were both American heroes.
RIP.

Hud. I saw Hud--and Paul Newman playing Hud Bannon at the age of twelve. I think I still have a crush on Hud Bannon--
