There's the proof, these creatures do exist. Forget about the Chupacabra and Bigfoot. This is the genuine article, as real as it is the stuff of legend; "percussionist sapien"-the smart drummer.
Sadly, they are an endangered species. A few years back a music industry magazine interviewed the top ten producers in New York city. There wasn't a single one that knew how to mike a drum kit. They could program a beatbox but dealing with a live setup was beyond them.
I think it's great that a kid with a set of drums and an internet connection can see somebody of Porcaro's caliber break it down. Thanks for the link, Abbas. I'm passing this one on to my sons; although I suspect that
the thirteen year old might have already seen it; he's a 3DQ fan too.

"I couldn't tear myself

this superb site."—Steven
Pinker, Johnstone Professor of Psychology, Harvard University.
"I have placed 3 Quarks Daily at the head of my list of web bookmarks."—Richard
Dawkins, Charles Simonyi Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University.
"Just wanted you to know I’m one of many who reads and enjoys 3 Quarks....almost daily."—David Byrne, musician, former lead-singer of the Talking Heads, artist, intellectual.
