Rare "Prehistoric" Shark Photographed Alive

From The National Geographic:

Shark

Flaring the gills that give the species its name, a frilled shark swims at Japan's Awashima Marine Park on Sunday, January 21, 2007. Sightings of living frilled sharks are rare, because the fish generally remain thousands of feet beneath the water's surface. Spotted by a fisher on January 21, this 5.3-foot (160-centimeter) shark was transferred to the marine park, where it was placed in a seawater pool. "We think it may have come to the surface because it was sick, or else it was weakened because it was in shallow waters," a park official told the Reuters news service. But the truth may never be known, since the "living fossil" died hours after it was caught.

This fish is a compelling argument for Creationism. Some unfortunate soul looks like its being seriously punished.

How is this proof of creationism?
Christians aren't good at science, or being human.

why the hell did they catch it? It's kinda gay just to catch a rare anything only to have it die... they'd have been better off to just bugger off and let the damn thing take care of itself

Posted by: Robert | Nov 2, 2009 4:29:22 PM

such a beautiful creature only proves that God exists. theres no way something as exotic as this could "evolve". trust me .... study the cambrian explosion.
God bless,
me.

God does not exist. religion was created as a tool to control people and it works remarkably well. I know this and I am 13. Sharks don't have anything to do with religion.Sharks are amazing creatures who were here long before us and will probably be here long after us. the finding of this shark shows that there are many more animals that we have not discovered yet.
